Hello fellow contributors,
So, you just had some taste of git and Github. That's awesome. This is what open-source is all about, where people come together to contribute, to build and to create something awesome every day. ALiAS welcomes you to this change and we hope you keep learning and building.

Here's something you can do:

  • Keep committing, changing and learning how git works underneath the hood, by contributing to real projects. Ask for help, ask questions and you will see the community reaching out to you. Here's something you can start with https://github.com/asetalias/asetalias.github.io/
  • Start pushing whatever you do on YOUR forks and make a pull request. I will accept it, but at times when I reject or ask for changes. I expect you to follow the instructions and learn from those experiences.
  • Learn why we do branching in git and how to we define remotes. Google it.
  • Don't be afraid of anything going wrong. If it does you will learn more. Try the links given in the presentation and especially try.github.io, it is an amazing tutorial.

Post all questions here, or ping me at @vipulgupta2048
