[BUG] Hot plugging USB not working

Describe the bug
Hotplugging a USB drive is reported not to work (bbf/bootloader). Look into this.

This is weird... it works fine if you debug and step through.

Problem seems to be in this area, the lockup happens during USBH_Delay, which calls HAL_Delay.
