Ok , so I've been able to find the bug , running the shadcn install script causes there to be a bun.lock file , which causes the following issue #75207 (comment)
once you remove the lock file and re-run the application it just works flawlessly unless you want to install a new component from shadcn.

Aha, wait, where is the bun.lock file getting placed? I wonder if there's flag to skip that file creation

Hey , im glad it did , but my question is , if im not using bun , why is there a new bun.lock file being generated . that's the curious part, 😅 i got it working by simply appending rm -rf bun.lock && next dev to my package.json .

also installing next globally sounds like a nightmare.
