• Leah Silen (Executive Director) welcomed us to NumFocus.
• Short introductions from the Vega team and NumFocus team, as well as a short introduction of the Vega project.
• Arliss introduces the Advocacy team at NumFocus. Related hackathon event: https://github.com/numfocus/numhack-2024.
• Happy Fox is the portal for sponsored projects.
• We have a Google Drive with all the onboarding docs, etc.
• Mir Mueller introduced the finance team. We will have a separate onboarding for that.
• Nolan Fortman and MK introduce the fundraising team. We have a link we can share that allows people to contribute to the project.
• Kim Weiss introduces the events team. They can sponsor project conferences.
• Kelby Lorenz introduces the marketing team. Can help set up communication strategy, social media, logo, etc. We have been added to the projects@numfocus.org Google group mailing list. Call to follow NumFocus and PyData on social media.
• Jonathan Starr introduces the OSSCi program that connects open science stakeholders.
• Nicole Foster introduces the operations team. Makes sure that projects get the help they need. Can provide infrastructure like Zoom, Slack, etc.; legal advice; and general inquiries.
