Yes, I agree.
The peculiarity of this repository is that it is not a separate independent project, but a part of the VAL product. The part that is distributed under the GPL license. In fact, this is a mirror of the internal repository. Therefore, repository updates are linked to the VAL release cycle.

I agree that this is not a typical situation for open source software and causes some difficulties.
But if the release notes for VAL does not specify support for the next kernel, then it will not be here either.
