Transparency in exported frames for Titles and Logos #294

Hi! Is there a way to export an image/still with transparency via Copy/Save Frame? |

There isn't. Neither NTSC broadcast signals themselves nor VHS recordings of them contain any transparency/alpha information, and it's not exactly clear how they would be encoded if they did. What you could try instead is chroma keying--render the titles and logos onto a green backdrop (or something else which doesn't overlap with the color scheme you're using) and key it out in post. This leads to graphical artifacts, but I believe it's accurate to how it was done back in the day. |
