Whether to generate geoip database from BGP announcements

We should be able to generate geoip file from https://bgp.tools/kb/api and https://www.routeviews.org/routeviews/collectors/. This geoip would be based on the region code of asn that announced that specific prefix.

Will this be a accurate source of region information that works as well as the maxmind database?

This does not seem quite accurate, as an autonomous system can be distributed across multiple countries.
