querying and summing with mark text

hello,

I have a plot which has a filterBy period to show data only within a date range.
I'm then plotting a summed bar by group.

the barY happily sums all the spend spend within a group using the "y" : {"sum": "spend"} directive, but the text mark doesn't.
is there a way to handle this?

I previously did the groupby using SQL in the "data" section, but I need to be able to interactively filter on date.

Have you tried changing "text": "spend" to "text": { "sum": "spend" }?
