Intermediate - fix duplicate dependencies

It is probably a good idea to make the whole thing a cargo workspace to remove duplicated dependencies.

I switched it to use a workspace, but we might want to further reduce dependencies by eliminating the tasker crate and using standard library threads instead. This would require changes to the embedded interface though since it uses tokio for io things.
