I'm completely new to memos, but I read a bit of anger in the latest release of Moe Memos (the Android App). What's the backstory to that?

@kandykarter Please note that Memos is a free and open-source project and still in the v0.x stage, and any changes are possible. We understand that this may cause inconvenience for users relying on third-party applications. So all historical versions are available on Docker Hub, and you can always choose not to upgrade.

As one of the maintainers, I think the most important key is to maintain code sustainability and continuous updates, which is essential for keeping this project alive and evolving.

@johnnyjoygh Hey, I know that, I didn't mean to disparage the work you folks are doing, just expressing that it's not currently stable enough for me to continue using as a daily driver. I'll dip back in in a year or so and see how things are, as I do really like the project. Cheers!

@kandykarter Stable should always refer to the stability of memos itself, not the stability for third-party applications. We will do our best to ensure the stability of memos itself, but we cannot guarantee the availability of third-party applications after upgrades.

Unfortunately, Memos' frequent API changes have made this app unusable, repeatedly. It's been about a week since this app worked correctly with current versions of the Memos server. As such, I'm exploring alternate note taking software to self-host, as Memos is clearly too unstable to be a daily driver.

I am just not updating my container, version 0.22.5 works just fine for me

I'm using progressive webapps across both iOS and Android and it's been fine, just open the app in Chrome, click on the menu -> "Add to home screen", then select Install.

App will show up in the App drawer and works pretty well. Hope this helps.
