Hashtag in first post?

This isn't a feature request yet, but I was thinking about this today: I think it would be nice if hashtags were placed in the first post in a thread rather than the last. The reason I'm thinking this is that, typically, if you want to repost/boost a thread, you'll only do that for the first post in the thread, which means the hashtags aren't in the part betting boosted.

As an example of why "last post hashtags" aren't great, when I search for #usegalaxy in mastodon, this is the first thing I see:

which is not real informative.

The downside is that hashtags in the first post might make the opening text harder to read.
