Encryption option crashes setup -fossfreedom

Saw an article https://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2019/12/10/meet-the-new-way-to-experience-ubuntu-linux-1910/#6d836d6324ab that says the installer crashed - it links to a you tube video - the user was choosing the "encrypt" hard drive option after clicking the "erase disk" install option - after entering the password for encyrpt the installer crashed.
