Documentation seems outdated (20.46) and finding APIs for multi-threading & socket descriptors

The documentation seems to be outdated. Here's what I see in the docs

I'd like to see what APIs are available. I couldn't find info on how getDescriptor() and addChildAppDescriptor() works (seen in the examples. It seems removeChildAppDescriptor and adoptSocket were added in past releases but missing from docs.

I'd like to understand how those works and see if I can control the multithreading beyond just the default round-robin. Perhaps documentation for these APIs and maybe examples on them? I think documentation on how they work would be a good minimum. I only noticed those APIs because I was reading through the release notes.
