Description
PalCalc should try to use the best average IVs available when suggesting breeding pairs. I’ve noticed that when trying to breed more copies of the same Pal, it sometimes picks parents with lower IVs even though I already own better ones.
If there are multiple options to get a single pal, Pal Calc uses a variety of methods to pick just a single option, and the total IVs is one of those methods. Another method, which currently takes higher priority, is pal location. Pals in your palbox will be preferred over pals on base.
For this test case, I moved all Fengelopes from the base.
What PalCalc actually suggests (1:45:00 Effort - 36-93 IV AVG):
Better IV pair (same Effort – 76–93 IV AVG):
If you really want a certain IV value, I figured you'd just enter it as a requirement in the settings directly
I’m not aiming for exact IV values - I just like giving myself the best chance at a higher average IV when breeding, especially when the effort is the same.
