Yeah, I agree. I am actually thinking about this same and have few ideas, but I have to see how they will blend with the upcoming features. One of the FR is this : #142 I went through the QuickAdd APIs, and it looks pretty interesting. Since they have done a lot of work on how to quickly add something at a specific place. But, I will have to see how this API integration will be possible and whether its really worth doing. Will need to think more. For the "add to diary" are you referring to the daily notes ? I think that also will be a very good option to have, so the task will be directly added to the daily note. This command can be more useful I guess. I had the idea previously, where in the "Add new task window", there will be a dropdown, where user can select to which note the task should be added to, but I dont know how many user will support this or will like it. This will basically going to add the new task at the end of the note. |

A quick way to create a task could be: 1- A button to create a new task. This button can be positioned in each column, so that the task is added to that column, receiving the settings that that column has (undated/dated/completed and others) 2- Open a menu to select the folder/note/canva where you want to insert the task. For example, I dedicate a note to personal tasks, and for this personal task I make it a board, so all the tasks that I add there are sent to my personal tasks board, and later filtered by the columns according to dated/undated/completed and others. In other words, every time you try to create a new task, make the note that I reserved for personal tasks be edited instead of creating a new note, so that I don't have to create a new note for each new task created, as it would be too messy 3- Open a menu similar to the one that already exists (when we try to edit a task) to write the task name, date, time, priority, tags, description, recurrence (see screenshot below). The menu in step 2 and 3 that I suggested could be one menu instead of 2 separate menus. I don't think any plugin would have such a quick and intuitive way to create a task |

Only "add here" is a bit hard to use
If the plugin can provide more method to add, like "add to dairy", "add to a file" , I think it will be better for us to use.
and I think use quickadd api may is a good idea(? I'm not sure
