Looking for help on accessing live video capture / webcam video on Linux

On our Photino.Native repo we have a test page to capture live video from a webcam.
It works fine on Windows, but on Linux we're able to access the camera, we're positive the camera is active and sends data, but we're hitting a roadblock receiving and showing the video feed on the page.
If someone from the community with experience on Linux/Ubuntu would like to dig into this issue and check it out, we'd really appreciate it.
