Case sensitivity in MariaDB / MySQL when SELECT rows with = or LIKE

I got issue when I request my mariadb database through Trino :

Guess I have a row with:

id|my_ci_column
1|'Some case insensitive text'

In my mariadb I can do :

SELECT * FROM my_table WHERE my_ci_column = 'SoME Case INSENsitive tExt'; 

when I fetch the row,

But with Trino, using the exact same query, I don't get the row.
I can get it only using :

SELECT * FROM my_table WHERE my_ci_column = 'Some case insensitive text'; 

Why can't I look into my case-insensitive columns with Trino as I can do when I request directly my db ?
