Current release does not support special characters in Balcan languages

Hello.

I just jove this project but I have a problem with letter "č" that is present in our language. Program gives me out this error:
"Error: AnnotWidget::layoutText, cannot convert U+010D"

Can it be fixed in future release or can I pass somewhere a parameter to encode everything to UTF-8?
