nav-toggle default to off ?

Is there a way to have the Topnav (sidebar toggle) disabled by default on a specific page?

For example, I've removed the sidebar on the index page, but there's still an empty space on the left side. This space disappears only after manually toggling the sidebar off using the "Nav" button. I want that sidebar space to be hidden by default on this page.
