Tmi v1 alternative??

Just found this awesome repo.

Looks like tmi.js v1 is not getting updates for years, and similar for the v2 also.

Is this going to be the replacement package?

Anything you can share with us @AlcaDesign ?

The tmi.js package is really set in stone in my mind and can be a pain to deal with with all of the uncertainties. I'm hoping that @tmi.js/chat can be a solid foundation for the rest of the lifetime of Twitch's IRC API. I personally will be using this new package for new projects and upgrading existing projects. I've been trying for a long time to get something that works well for me and it's been really nice to work with so far. I'm very happy to have finally been able to publish something new.

EventSub may be the way forward for any larger projects, but I think this package can continue to breathe life into personal projects, overlays, and other interactive things.

Just wanted to say tmi.js v1 kept my stream really vibrant for a very long time, thank you for your hard work and excited to see what's up in @tmi.js/chat / v2! :3
