db-backup on Unraid - backup target folder permissions keep changing

I have a general "backup" folder shared from my Unraid server. I take a look every so often to verify my backups are working. There's a "db" folder in there that I have db-backup pointed at to store database backups. Working, but I've noticed that the security on the "db" folder keeps changing, and I can no longer see inside that folder unless I "fix" the permissions via the Unraid server. Every time db-backup does a backup the permissions are changing so that I can't see inside the folder. Is there a reason for this? Is there a way to alter the behavior?
