Improvement : Many alerts appended in single email.

During a scan ports or samba exploration a multiple email alerts are sent.

I have developed the class MemoryDelaySmtpHandler to create a bundle of alerts in a single email and send it after a delay.

After module installation, you need to modify /etc/opencanaryd/opencanary.conf

• replace "class": "logging.handlers.SMTPHandler"
• with "class": "memorydelaysmtphandler.memorydelaysmtphandler.MemoryDelaySmtpHandler"

and add options:

• "capacity" : xxxx,
• "delay" : yyyy

If the team wants, they can add it natively in OpenCanary.
