Ability to get items in the order they are presented in UI

I'd like the ability to get projects in the same order as they are presented in the UI. I use the position in the UI to visually represent the priority of projects. I'd like access to this programmatically.

I looked at the things.api and it does return an index but it doesn't seem to let me specify the index of the item as presented in the UI.

Hi @joshdoyle! What is the specific things.py command that you're running?
The index (which comes directly from the Things database) does seem to indicate the order within the area and when-bucket (Anytime, Someday). Smaller first. Why they chose this enumeration system rather than 0,1,2,3,… as you indicated I'm less sure of.
