Using Hugo's quick start guide and this showed up

hint: is subject to change. To configure the initial branch name to use in all

hint: Names commonly chosen instead of 'master' are 'main', 'trunk' and
hint: 'development'. The just-created branch can be renamed via this command:

Read it, understand it, and act on it. It's a message from YOUR local git installation to YOU. Everyone else (Hugo, Ananke, everyone) is already using main as the main branch name.

I don't use the theme. Just that getting that warning does not inspire confidence in the theme.

You will get that warning with every repository you are checking out. Stop using computers then :) Again. Ananke's main branch is main. GoHugo's main branch is main. YOUR local git installation is set to have the main branch name master. That is what the message says.
