strange version number after upgdating from 24.10.15 to 25.2.3

with 24.10.15 I had the correct version number displayed in Info tab. After updating to 25.2.3 I get "abcdeeb" displayed! What did I made wrong?

Topic is settled, I got help from a Git expert. Custom commits show the last Git hash (or part of it) instead of the version
