Add status icon next to battery percentage, indicating that the phone is being charged

When charging the phone, Olauncher does not update its percentage value nor does it indicate that the phone is currently being charged (e.g. with a battery-icon next to the percentage). I have to swipe down the status bar to see what percentage it is, or press home key once in a while.

So my ideas would be to

1. receive the real time battery state and
2. show a small battery icon, when phone is currently charging.
