This happens on every distro and there is no way to fix it other than promoting the package to an official arch repository.

It is an AUR package already (The AUR is not an official Arch repo) but with it you have to rebuild it also after every update of the plasma packages.
This is also a thing for other stuff on arch (for example Python packages after a version upgrade). That's why I have rebuild-detector and this script for KDE I run after Plasma upgrades. This could also be automated with a pacman hook

@taj-ny I think you should also add installation steps for Arch for the packages to the Readme. The badge is really small and easily overlooked
