Docs (v3.0.0) Search Bar

The search bar in the 2.0 docs is at the top of the page in a sticky header which allowed for quick searching from anywhere in the docs. Now that the search bar has been moved to the left column, it's hidden 99.9% of the time. I have to scroll back to the top of the column each time I want to do a new search. It's a lot of scrolling, especially if you're near the bottom of the column, and you do it a hundred times. I realize there's Command+K for quick search, but if I'm already using the mouse to click through the docs, it would be nice to still have the search bar available to click on.
