As of the v2.1 release, the grayscale filter only supports the grayscale and grayscale-0 classes. The grayscale filter, however, supports any percentage between 0 and 100. This is also true for other filters such as invert and sepia.
I, for one, have uses for these in-between variants and would like for tailwind to support them out of the box as defaults like other filters such as contrast.
