Issues with JIT and custom classes

Is anyone else having issues with JIT and custom classes using @apply?

This is my app.scss file

@import 'inc/fonts/_index';
@import 'inc/tailwind.css';

@layer components {
    @import 'inc/components/_index';
}

@layer utilities {
    @import 'inc/utils/_index';
}

and this is the tailwind.config.js

module.exports = {
    mode: 'jit',
    purge: ['./storage/framework/views/*.php', './resources/views/app.blade.php', './resources/js/**/*.vue']
}

But any of the classes inside components/utilities seem to be stripped from the compiled CSS

Maybe this should be moved to issues.
