V3 -> V4 Upgrade Tool: available via standalone CLI?

Is it possible to run the V3 -> V4 Tailwind Upgrade tool via the Standalone Tailwind CLI?

I don't think so. Looking at the packages it includes:

tailwindcss/packages/@tailwindcss-standalone/package.json

Lines 27 to 35 in 81de67c

There is no @tailwindcss/upgrade in there.

This seems to be the answer, at least for now.
So you might want to install the npm version, run the upgrader, delete the npm version and start using the standalone CLI.

In my experience with Go + templ, the standalone CLI has second-class priority. It's way less of a hassle to go the npm route and forget the standalone CLI exists for the time being.

It's significant bloat to add NPM to a project that does not already use it.

I agree, and I need to correct myself because, as I kept digging into the issue, the problem was not the standalone CLI at all. The issue was the arch linux AUR package I used that wraps the whole CLI app with Bun.
In summary:

• It stopped working
• I deleted it
• I installed like the [docs suggest](https://tailwindcss.com/blog/standalone-cli]
• It works as expected even though it's a massive 150mb executable
