css file is not getting minified with cssnano

im trying to minify the css file for the production build using cssnano but even after adding the

  plugins: {
    tailwindcss: {},
    autoprefixer: {},
    cssnano: {
      preset: 'default',
    },
  },
};

there is no change in the file size
