Why does Popover and Disclosure have a "close" function but not Menu?

A close function let's us manually close Menu.Items. Currently, there seems to be no way of doing this for Menu but is available for Popover and Disclosure.

Here's a scenario where a manual close function is needed for Menu:

• User clicks on a menu item which opens a new tab
• New tab is opened immediately
• Menu.Items is closed automatically by headlessui
• User sees a new tab open before the Menu is closed, which is very jarring UX
