Disable combobox scroll into view on first item select

Is there a way to stop combobox scrolling active item into view on first click?

Example sandbox

What I mean by focusing on first select:

• type "te" to see sandbox results
• scroll down a little so that teal colored option 2 is partially visible
• click on option 2
• combobox scrolls up so that teal colored option 2 is fully visible
• repeat steps 2 & 3
• combobox no longer scrolls up on option 2 click

I have tried setting value / defaultValue, enabling multiple thinking that might help.

Any suggestions? What am I missing?

I am so dumb. Setting disabled = true on Combobox.Option does exactly what I need.
