Listbox: Disable spacebar from selected an option and include space to scroll into view

I built a standard listbox, but I only want the enter key, not the space key, to select an option. How do I disable spacebar from selecting an option?

Also, when my user is typing, how do I include ” “ (a space) in what my user is searching for when scrolling the option into view?
