How to make a combobox that is both single and multi

Hello. I am trying to make a combo box that will work in both single mode and multi mode. Just like how the headless UI combo box component works. I want this component to take a prop called multiple just like the headless UI component. But when I set the type of multiple to boolean, the headless UI combobox requires either true or false to be set as the type of multiple, I think ahead of time. How do I get around this?
