Chrome now supports a hidden="until-found" attribute value which lets users search within the details of disclosure elements even while they aren’t open.
I think instead of unmounting a Disclosure.Panel while it isn’t meant to be visible, we could put a hidden="until-found" attribute on it. According to the page I’ve linked above:
If your page also has another state which needs to be kept in sync with whether or not your section is revealed, then add a beforematch event listener that will be fired on the hidden="until-found" element right before the element is revealed by the browser.
We could adjust the state of the corresponding Disclosure component based upon that.
