How to trigger an action when ListBox component changes in Vue 3?

I guess it's quite simple but I didn't understand what is the good practice (I feel a bit stupid...).

Is there an event generated by the component that I can listen to?
Should I listen to my own event like @click or others?

I opted for the watch function on the selection value.
It works well, but I'm not sure it's the best practice!

watch(
  () => selectedPerson.value,
  (person, prev) => {
    // Do something
  }
)

Could you tell me the best practice please?
