Incremental change feed

Hi everyone,

I was playing around with the SurrealDB CHANGEFEED:

DEFINE TABLE reading CHANGEFEED 3d;

CREATE reading SET id="reading:test1", story = "Once upon a time", test = "some test text";

UPDATE reading:test1 MERGE {
    test: "some other test text"
};
SHOW CHANGES FOR TABLE reading SINCE 1 LIMIT 10;

This will get the following output:

When applying an update using merge (or patch) the change feed is always showing a full dataset of the record. Is it possible to somehow get the incremental data that actually has been changed?

In the docs I read something about the diff-match-patch that's applied in the live queries. Is this also used in general when updating a record?
Or is it better to just do a manual diff-match-patch before updating a record?
