Key strokes are delayed

On a newly installed Sublime text 3, in vintage mode, keystrokes are delayed and queued by one. Eg pressing j will do nothing, and pressing k then, will move the cursor down. This happens to other commands as well, like o, d etc.

I just installed Sublime Text today and enabled Vintage mode by removing it from ignored_packages and works perfectly well for me with no delay. In a Windows 10 laptop.
