form action redirect to url but no success / error message.

I have used this code in the page layout xml section, to load a custom contact form for suggestions:

/contacts/index/post true

But when the user enters the captcha, the Magento is successful or the error message is displayed but is redirects to the default Magento contact form to show this message.

I can remove /contacts/index/post to stop the redirect but the customer does not get a success / error message at the top of the page.
