Asset Library Pagination

We have a "products" folder which has quite a large number of sub-folders, this has become quite slow to open, and it's a common folder to navigate. I'm wondering if the pagination down the bottom would help to solve this if it paginated folders as well as files. Or is there some way to do this that I have missed?
