Check a page has children?

How would I perform a check if a page has children?

I thought this would work, but it doesn't

{{ if page:children }}
    YUP
{{ /if }}

what does {{ page:children | dump }} do?

Apologies for the late reply, {{ page:children | dump }} does nothing, not output. {{ page:id | dump }} works. Others have the same issue #5567

ya the children things is only if you're in a structure, which I presume you're not.

It is a structure though? I think I've got the same issue as this #5567

I'm trying to display the children on the corporate responsibility page.

gotta be inside a nav tag then, that's a structure
