Can't install Statamic through CLI : Runtime Exception

I got this when typing Statamic new name_of_my_new_app.
I don't know what to do next, though I think it is related to Composer...

yes, like the error says, you don't have composer installed.

Hello Erin. Composer is installed globally. I can run updates and so on. I wish I could install Statamic without the CLI but I don't remember the old command.

Not sure what's going on there, but this is the old command:

composer create-project --prefer-dist statamic/statamic {site_name}

Thanks Jack. Thanks to this command I got a 3.2.6 working base installation. But I think my problem probably is related to an expired Github token because I could not load repo.packagist.org/packages.json due to a curl error 28...I have to investigate...
