Among the rubbish or other things, TikTok can provide useful and entertaining content. It would be nice to be able to embed it

Instead of taking just the video file from TikTok CDN, video statistics and description might be useful to the user.
Because of this, it might be okay to use the TikTok video embed feature.
As the embed is too big - or too tall - the player must be collapsed, like an embedded tweet.

Downloading the video and posting it on SN

It would be tempting to use the whole player:
But this embeddable player notoriously has the bug of not being able to respond to the cookie consent banner that it plasters on the whole container.
So it might be better to use the /embed/v2 URL to do this, which has this type of format:
