TOC on right panel not generated for each md file

Hi, I'm new using this amazing tool. I created a few markdowns, organized by different folders under docs. I don't specify the nav pages in the yaml and let the program generate them automatically. I only see the TOC (for the markdown headings) on the right side for the main index.md in the top directory, but for any additional markdown files, which also have a correct heading syntax, no TOC is generated. Is there a way to have the TOC generated for any and all markdowns I placed under docs to aid with navigation, without having to specify the nav config in the yaml?

it figured it out. the markdown can only have one top level heading starting with one #, which will become the document title. If there is another first level heading below that, it will break the TOC, so only one first level heading per markdown works for showing the TOC.
