Optimize plugin not finding my images

I have been using images without any issues and the page renders fine as well as in development as well as when published to GitHub. However, I reference my images like this:

| ![B](./images/03-3.png) | ![D](./images/03-4.jpg) |

And I get

WARNING  -  Documentation file 'blog/posts/03-trainingdays.md' contains a link to 'blog/posts/images/03-1.png' which is not found in the documentation files.
WARNING  -  Documentation file 'blog/posts/03-trainingdays.md' contains a link to 'blog/posts/images/03-2.png' which is not found in the documentation files.
WARNING  -  Documentation file 'blog/posts/03-trainingdays.md' contains a link to 'blog/posts/images/03-3.png' which is not found in the documentation files.
WARNING  -  Documentation file 'blog/posts/03-trainingdays.md' contains a link to 'blog/posts/images/03-4.jpg' which is not found in the documentation files.

The images are there and they are also being shown. What am I missing in my references to make the optimize plugin understand?

I don't doubt that it's an error, but the reproduction you provided doesn't allow me to observe it 😅 Hard to fix an error you cannot observe, which is why we need a sufficient minimal reproduction.

What I am saying is that I saw the error when I uploaded it. Restarting mkdocs serve "fixed" it. Does not help with my real site.

I wonder if this happens because the file that's located at posts at design-time moves to 2023/06/29 at production. That might be the cause of the issue. The reference then is no longer working.

When I run your example, the links are all correct for mkdocs serve as well as mkdocs build. Could you please give some information on the exact steps you're executing when you run the reproduction you provided?
