Where to begin with Assets & Identities

I feel like I’m at ground zero working on getting assets & identities lookup tables properly populating in Splunk. Not sure how importing AD & Azure assets that use DHCP will look look like though as it can be interesting tracking identifying risk assets (when I get that far that is) with changing IPs. Other than standard Splunk documentation are there any other recommended/useful assets & identities documentation/guides out there?
