A: There's a multitude of reasons, none of them being for profit. I could go back to 3 years ago, when I was dealing with the death of someone close, or we could go back even further to my love of the Stories games, and for a bit of good 'ol altruism, but I digress. The reason I'm doing is this for the benefit of others; to help anyone who may be interested in GTA Stories/Manhunt/Leeds modding, and get more people interested in something that's been pretty quiet since their release(es) in the 2000's. There's also been a few attempts at I/O's, and tools for Stories games that get previewed online, and then never released, or the source/documentation unavailable and kept to the devs - which I feel is a crap move based on profiting. Fair enough, you want money, right? Well, not when it prevents progress. I also feel, while I do it for my own people who aren't here anymore, there's people who I wouldn't want to have to devote so much time to it. Just going through it myself, for fun, I seen how this could consume someone's life, and well, right now I don't really have anyone despite having a life, so not much to sacrifice socially. So another reason I do this, is to save the time these tasks would consume from others, and in the hopes it may be useful in advancing further modding. |
