Simple installation of Modified Cuckoo

I am a fairly smart guy but I just cannot seem to find a proper understanding of how the Modified Cuckoo works. I recently installed Cuckoo, as I have done many times before, and I have looked through the Modified Cuckoo Documentation folder (docs/books/src??), and it seems that the documentation is in pieces here and there. I apologise in advance.
Please help.
